GodLike Esports fail to qualify for BMPS 2022 Season One

In a shocking turn of events for BGMI esports ecosystem in India, the beloved team of GodLike Esports and their star player Jonathan will not be playing in the first Pro Series after they fail to qualify from the first mixed qualifier event of BMOC 2022. Here is how this turn of events took place.

The roster of GodLike Esports was feared as one of the biggest and most dominating PUBGM/BGMI teams in India since the last three years. Players like Jonathan, Zgod and Neyoo have been dominating in India under the leadership of Clutchgod and guidance of Ghatak but in the past few months, things seem to be going sideways for the team.

GodLike Esports went into a huge slump right after the comeback of BGMI. They were performing well in some matches and scrimmages but their net performance was slowly going downhill due to consistent early knockouts.

Jonathan also opened up on this poor performance of GodLike esports stating that the team is demotivated right now and it has been leading to this change in their performance. He also jokingly mentioned that the GodLike Era (of dominance) has come to an end.

Today, GodLike Esports was put to the real test as they qualified for the fourth round of BMOC 2022 via the invitational route. They were mixed up with open qualified teams and were present in Group B along with the likes of Team Soul, Team XO and Entity Gaming.

Initally when the day begun, GodLike was in a good form and secured good points in the first two matches but the remaining for matches were a disaster with them struggling to make it to the top five spots.

This led to GodLike being eliminated at the end of the day on eighth spot. Team Soul and XO made it out of this stage and Entity also ended their run on the seventh spot today.

This is the first time since PUBG Mobile esports started that the dominating roster of GodLike Esports has failed to qualify for an official event in the first round itself.
