League of Legends: Wild Rift launched in Americas

Riot Games has officially launched League of Legends: Wild Rift in Americas, covering many countries in their open beta testing. Americas was not included in the initial stages of testing but now, the game is widely available in North and South American continent.

League of Legends: Wild Rift is the portable version of League PC which was developed from the scratch. This game emulates the authentic experience of League of Legends on a mobile device and has shorter game period so that players can enjoy it on the go. The game was supposed to be launched globally in 2020 but due to the prevailing pandemic situation, the launch did not go as planned.

Riot Games started the closed and open beta testing in SEA region at the end of last year and quickly, made an exponential progress in the testing phase. Many other regions were soon included and only Americas and South Asia were not able to enjoy the game.

The developers promised to launch Wild Rift in these two regions by Spring 2021 and has delivered to the expectations. Wild Rift is available in the following countries in the Americas region.

  • Brazil
  • Mexico
  • Chile
  • United States of America
  • Argentina
  • Canada
  • Colombia
  • Peru

The servers for this region are also different than the rest of the world and hence, players can only match with teammates in their own region. Riot Games also provided an option to permanently change the region of their pre-existing accounts and is providing exclusive event in this region to keep the new players up-to-date.

This new event will provide a ton of new champions and skins to the players and bring them in the competition as well. The new ranked season is also starting very soon so get ready to grind in these new servers.
