League of Legends: Wild Rift is coming to Americas

Riot Games has announced the official launch date for the open beta of their latest title, League of Legends: Wild Rift in the Americas region. This was one of the major regions that were excluded from the testing and now, only South Asia remains to be added before the global launch.

Wild Rift is the portable version of League of Legends which was built from scratch to provide the exact same experience on a mobile device. This game quickly gained popularity among mobile gamers and became one of the best MOBAs in the market. Even though it is in the open beta phase, the esports scene surrounding Wild Rift has already started to grow.

The Americas region was kept aside for a long time because there was a delay in setting up the servers due to pandemics. Americas was the only big region excluded from the testing and finally, the players from NA and LATAM region can play Wild Rift from March-end.

Wild Rift will be launched in the following regions on March 29th. The list is as follows:

  • Brazil
  • Mexico
  • Chile
  • United States of America
  • Argentina
  • Canada
  • Colombia
  • Peru

The release is followed by the notice of region change. Players who have been playing Wild Rift by using VPN have a chance to permanently shift their region to the Americas once the game is launched. They only need to accept a prompt asking for the region change.

If players belonging to any other region get this message, they can check if any VPN is active or can directly contact Riot for solving this issue. The game will be available on all the official stores from 29th March 2021 for the Americas region.
