Riot Games took their official League of Legends: Wild Rift Twitter account to announce the account transfer restriction for the Americas player. If you played the game earlier in the regional Open Beta, but haven’t logged in since March. You need to transfer your account to the Americas server soon. Riot Games will be removing the option of account transfer in the upcoming updates.
To alarm all the players of the region, a message has been popping out at the start of the game. The message comes with the heading CONFIRM GAME REGION “Based on your account information and current location, you will be placed in Wild Rifts North America server where you’ll be able to join various region-specific events and compete with other local players on the Ranked leaderboard.
This also makes you eligible for matchmaking with other players on the Americas servers, however, please note that the Europe & Asia servers are totally separate from the Americas servers, meaning players on one set of servers cannot play with players from the other.
If this seems like a mistake, you may be using an incorrectly configured VPN or attempting to log in with the wrong account. Please check your network and device settings and try again.”
To let you know, League of Legends: Wild Rift was officially available to the players of America from March. So a lot of players got into the earlier beta version by using VPNs before its release. Now, Riot Games are giving them the option to change the servers. So that none of your purchased items gets lost.
The procedure to transfer the account to the North and South American servers is easy. Log in to your account without using any VPN. The game will automatically detect the region you are presently in and prompt you to migrate your account. All the progress of your account will be removed besides the items purchased within the game. Now you are good to go, and enjoy your game.
