How to reveal Impostors in Among Us using Vitals

Using the Vitals effectively can lead to some easy Impostor catches. Here’s how you do it.

Among Us is undoubtedly one of the most popular games of 2020. The murder-mystery title by InnerSloth has managed to win the hearts of millions of fans worldwide over the past few months. While Among Us was originally released way back in 2018, it failed to gain any significant popularity till August 2020 when a group of big streamers and YouTubers started playing it.

With the increasing popularity of Among Us, more players are playing the game now than ever. If you’re one of the players who are tired of getting Crewmate again and again, then don’t worry, we have something that will help you catch the Impostors in no time.

Reddit user u/arekwashere came up with an interesting strategy with the Vitals in the map ‘Polus’. The method allows you to find out who the Impostors are without much difficulty if you have a sharp eye. Here’s how the method works:

Impostors generally have a different heartbeat that Crewmates, so watch out for the odd one out among a group.
Whenever a Crewmate is near an Impostor, their heartbeat changes. Again, if the Impostor kills that Crewmate, the Impostor’s heartbeat changes drastically.

To utilize this method most effectively, players are recommended to keep checking the heartbeats of everyone alive and whenever a kill happens, look for drastic changes in heartbeats.

Here’s a video by YouTuber ‘Smilekay’ who explained the method in details after trying it out first-hand over 5 games:

Another good way of using Vitals is to check for self-reports. If you see a Crewmate die and the body is instantly reported by someone, chances are high that the reporting player is the Impostor who self-reported the body after killing to evade suspicion.
