Minecraft celebrated its 15th Anniversary in style by plotting rewards for 15 days starting from May 15th to May 29th. Each day we got some or the other character creator cosmetics. At the end of their celebration, Minecraft has announced an animated series soon to be released on Netflix.
May 15th marked 15 years of Minecraft and they made sure that the world would witness their grand celebration. 15 different character creator items were given out on each of the 15 days of celebration. Minecraft also announced 6 Lego sets after collaborating with the popular brick builder brand. Minecraft is ending this celebration with the announcement of an animated series on Netflix.
The animated series does not have a name yet however it is set to be a Netflix Exclusive. Ever since Minecraft’s last interactive show was made with the collaboration with Telltale Games, a lot of new characters have been added to the game. The introduction of these new characters ensures that this series will have a brand-new story.
Minecraft has confirmed that the studio behind this creation would be WildBrain. This is the same studio behind the creation of Sonic Prime, Carmen Sandiego, and Ninjago: Dragons Rising. This gives us a pretty good idea of the studio’s animation style. There is no date set for the release of the animated series yet. Hopefully, Minecraft gives us some hints of what the story going to be about.
