AnnieDro takes retirement from Competitve Valorant, Bob to be the new fifth for Cloud9 White

Cloud9 White is the single greatest North American Game Changers Valorant roster with its IGL Melanie “Mel” Capone, Duelist Jasmine “Jazzyk1ns” Manankil, Flex Alexis “alexis” Guarrasi, Controller Katja “Katsumi” Pfahnl and Sova/Support Annie “AnnieDro” Roberts.

The roster started as MAJKL playing Riot’s Valorant Ignition Series FTW Summer Showdown. The team made waves across the continent, winning the series without dropping a single map.

The roster was picked up by Cloud 9 as their female division, naming the main roster Cloud9 Blue and the Game Changers roster Cloud9 White. The team has been together since the dawn of Valorant. They were unbeatable and dominant, winning all the Game Changers tournaments in North America, and are likely the tournament favorites in the upcoming Valorant Game Changers LAN tournament.

Last night, though, A shocker was announced with AnnieDro leaving, explaining in a tweet that she’d no longer be competing and wanted to retire from competing and would focus on making content under the Cloud9 banner.

The reasons for the decision were the lack of motivation and tanking mental health, which led to her losing her edge as a player, which would be unfair to her teammates. You can read the full tweet here.

Annie has been a role model for all the Trans Community in gaming, always standing against the toxicity towards females and Trans alike. She has gathered a massive following being the role model and the person she is. We wish Annie the best in her future endeavors.

With Annie leaving, the gap in the roster would be filled by Australian Bob “Bob” Tran. Bob played under the Soniqs banner and won the inaugural Valorant Ignition series from Australia.

They have been a constant name in the Valorant Champions Tour. Bob plays similar roles to Annie, and it would be interesting to see how the team fares in the upcoming Game Changers Berlin LAN.

With Annie out and Bob in, the new Cloud9 White would look like:

  • Melanie “Mel” Capone
  • Jasmine “Jazzyk1ns” Manankil
  • Alexis “alexis” Guarrasi
  • Katja “Katsumi” Pfahnl
  • Bob “Bob” Tran

With Coaches Reid “X0tek” Johnson and Ryou “MoonChopper” Nishiyama. The next big challenge for the roster would be, The VCT Game Changers Championship, where they’d meet the Game Changer Teams from All around the world, especially the only other unbeaten team in the world, G2 Gozen.
