Apeks has signed Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad as the fifth player to their CSGO roster, the org confirmed in a tweet.
“He (jkaem) will be moving home to Norway as soon as possible, and will (be) joining our roster at the Apeks headquarters in Osio,” Apeks said in a statement.
Prior to him joining 100 Thieves in 2018, Jkaem has played in a number of big orgs including the likes of FaZe, G2, Renegades, Dignitas, or LGB eSports. After almost three years in North America, it appears like the 26-year-old is finally making his way back home.
“I had plans to return to Norway sooner or later. I didn’t know when it would happen, but with the situation in 100 Thieves, my thoughts of coming home became clearer,” Jkaem said in a statement. “Apeks came with an offer that I was happy with, and after giving it some thought, it was the right decision. The idea of contributing to help to build the Norwegian esports scene became the deciding factor.”
With this new addition to their roster, the Apeks lineup for CSGO will now consist of:
- Ole “Marcelious” Kristian Langan
- Sander “Grusarn” Iversen
- Dennis “dennis” Edman
- Martin “Nasty” Garvik
- Joakim “jkaem” Myrbostad
- Pål “Polly” Kammen (coach)
