It’s possible that the codename “mp_rr_canyonlands_mu2_night” alludes to an earlier iteration of Kings Canyon. An updated skybox with new planets and stars appears to be particularly for the Shadow Royale Kings Canyon map.
The new skybox is designed to work perfectly for the dark conditions necessary to play Shadow Royale LTM on Kings Canyon. This seasonal mode usually drops around October as part of Apex Legend’s Fight or Fright event. With Season 18 likely running until past Halloween, Shadow Royale LTM could make a grand return to Kings Canyon with a fresh look.
