Apex Legends Season 22: Major Battle Pass Changes & More

Battle Pass Overhaul Sparks Debate Among Players

Apex Legends is set to undergo significant changes with the launch of Season 22. These changes primarily affect the Battle Pass system, which has been a staple of the game since its inception. This article will dive into the specifics of these changes, the community’s reaction, and what it means for the future of Apex Legends.

Apex Legends Season 22 Major Changes

One of the most notable changes in Season 22 is the division of the Battle Pass into two separate parts. Traditionally, players have had to complete 110 levels to unlock all rewards in a single Battle Pass. However, starting with Season 22, there will be two Battle Passes – one for the first half of the season and another for the second half, each containing 60 levels to complete.

This new structure aims to keep the content fresh and engaging throughout the season.

Removal of Apex Coins for Battle Pass Purchases

Another significant change is the removal of the option to purchase Battle Passes with Apex Coins. Previously, players could save up their coins and use them to buy future passes. This will no longer be possible, as the new system requires direct monetary purchases.

This change has sparked considerable debate within the community, as many players have been saving their coins specifically for this purpose.

New Pricing Model

The pricing model for the Battle Passes is also transforming. Each half-season Premium pass will now cost $10, while the Premium Bundle, previously available for 2800 Apex Coins, has been rebranded as Premium+ and will cost $19.99.

This new pricing strategy has raised concerns among players about the overall cost of participating in the Battle Pass system throughout the season.

The Apex Legends fans have been vocal about their dissatisfaction with these changes. Many players feel that the removal of the option to use Apex Coins for Battle Pass purchases is a step backward, as it limits their ability to utilize in-game currency effectively

Additionally, the increased cost associated with the new Premium+ bundle has been met with criticism, with players expressing concerns about the financial burden of staying competitive in the game.
