Year 4 Highlights: What’s New?
- LAN Competitions: Three major LAN events are slated for Year 4, with a combined prize pool of $4,000,000 USD.
- China Joins the Fray: In a significant move, teams from the People’s Republic of China will participate in the ALGS, adding a new dimension to the competition.
- Eligibility Revisions: The eligibility criteria have been revamped, shifting from a minimum rank to a minimum Account Level, aligning with the Apex Legends Ranked Leagues mode.
Year 4 Updates: Elevating the Competition
Year 3 set high standards in terms of viewership and participation. But Year 4 promises to be even more competitive with significant updates:
- South America’s New Role: While South America will no longer be in the Pro League, it remains a vital part of the ALGS, with opportunities to qualify for all LAN events.
- Global Representation: Year 4 LAN events will feature teams from six regions, ensuring a diverse and global competition.
- Pro League Reconfigurations: The Pro League Regular Season’s prize pool has been restructured, with each of the four regions getting an equal share.
Year 4 Competition Breakdown
- Preseason Qualifiers: Kicking off in late November, these will determine the teams that will start in the Pro League.
- Pro League: Starting in January 2024, the Pro League will see teams battling for playoff qualification and a share of the $500,000 USD prize pool per split.
- Playoffs: With a prize pool of $1,000,000 USD per split, the Playoffs will feature the best Apex Legends teams from six regions.
- Challenger Circuit: Running parallel to the Pro League, this provides teams an opportunity to compete and qualify for the Pro League.
- Last Chance Qualifier: This will determine the final spots for the Championship.
- Year 4 Championship: The grand event will see the top 40 teams competing for the title of ALGS Year 4 Champions and a prize pool of $2,000,000 USD.
