Two new screenshots of what seems to be footage from the upcoming Battlefield’s reveal trailer were leaked online. The game seems to be set in a modern-day/ futuristic setting as one of the screenshots showcases a rocket launch while the other shows a tropical island with multiple helicarriers flying over it.
Tom Henderson, a prominent leaker confirmed that the screenshots are real, “The screen grabs were likely captured via zoom or something like that, which explains the low quality.” he stated in a Tweet. Tom also claims that the game is a direct sequel of Battlefield 4 and will be titled BATTLEFIELD. The game’s campaign mode is based around the USA and Russia who are recruiting specialists to enlist in the ongoing war between them, and the multiplayer component focuses on large-scale battles along with a Battle Royale mode.
Earlier in April, EA and Dice revealed two upcoming Battlefield games in development, one of which is a mobile game due to release in 2022. DICE’s General Manager said that the upcoming Battlefield game is in the final stages of development, and is being polished in order to “the best possible Battlefield game we can.”
EA or Dice have yet to comment on the recent leaks.
