Battlegrounds Mobile India Masters Series – BGMS Season 3 Opening Week Day 2 has come to a close. The second day of the Opening Week saw some intense battles as the team vied to secure a spot in the upcoming stage of the tournament. Team Forever and Team OneBlade secured the Winner Winner Chicken Dinners in the two matches of  BGMS Season 3 Opening Week Day 2. Let’s dive deeper and see how each match unfolded.

Here is the recap of both matches from Day 2 of BGMS Season 3 Opening Week.

Match 1 – Erangel: Groups C, D, E, F

The pressure was on as the final five teams – Team X Spark, Carnival Gaming, Team Forever, Gods Reign, and Team Tamilas – thrived for survival. Carnival Gaming made a bold move, initiating a 3v3 fight with Team Tamilas. They managed to eliminate Team Tamilas, but at a heavy cost – losing two of their own players in the process.

With the zone closing in, Team X Spark’s SPRAYGOD emerged as a threat, taking down Carnival Gaming’s Neyo and silencing their hopes for victory. The match intensified as Team Forever held a strong position with all four members alive, whereas Team X Spark had two and Gods Reign was down to a single player, Altu, desperately healing outside the shrinking zone.

Team Forever’s Ninjuu landed a crucial grenade to eliminate Team X Spark’s SARANG and tipping the scales in their favor. With a dominant 4v1 advantage, they quickly finished Team X Spark’s SPRAYGOD. The final moments saw Team Forever’s OMEGA deliver the finishing blow, eliminating Altu from Gods Reign and securing a thrilling victory for Team Forever!

Team X Spark’s SARANG was declared as the Star of the Match with 7 finishes.

Match 2 – Miramar: Groups A, D, E, F

In the second match of BGMS Season 3 Opening Week Day 2, the final zone brought soem intense action. The final five teams – Team Forever, OneBlade, Reckoning Esports, Team Zero, and Team Limra – fought tooth and nail for survival.

Team Forever’s Mafia eliminated Team Zero’s SyedOP, thus eliminating the team from the match. Meanwhile, OneBlade held a central position in a building, a strategic advantage. However, the surrounding ridges were crawling with enemies. Ksr7 from OneBlade knocked Team Limra’s DragonOP on a ridge. In a desperate attempt to revive his teammate, PokoWNL rushed to DragonOP’s side. But the unforgiving zone had other plans, finishing both players and eliminating Team Limra.

The pressure mounted as the zone continued to shrink, leaving Team Forever, OneBlade, and Reckoning Esports in a chaotic three-way brawl. Team Forever, despite their earlier dominance, couldn’t withstand the fight and were eliminated. OneBlade, capitalizing on the chaos, managed to eliminate the last remaining player of Reckoning Esports, securing victory.

After two days of intense battles in the Opening Week, here’s a look at the top contenders:

8bit leads the Overall Rankings! With a dominant performance, they lead the pack with a whopping 53 points. Their strategy is paying off – they’ve grabbed a coveted WWCD (Winner Winner Chicken Dinner), racked up 10 placement points, and eliminated a staggering 43 opponents across 4 matches.

Hot on their heels are Team X Spark. Despite not securing a WWCD yet, they’ve consistently placed well, amassing 43 points. Their aggressive gameplay is evident with 38 finish points, proving they’re a force to be reckoned with.

Team Forever isn’t far behind! They’ve managed to snag a WWCD and have strategically secured 15 placement points, giving them a total of 31 points. While they haven’t racked up as many kills (16), their strategic positioning is clearly paying off over their 3 matches.

Carnival Gaming is a team to watch! Although they haven’t secured a WWCD yet, they’ve consistently placed well with 15 placement points. Their focus on survival is evident with 13 finish points earned over 3 matches. They’re a potential threat as the competition unfolds.

Rounding out the top 5 is ONEBLADE. They’ve surprised everyone with a WWCD and a total of 26 points. They’ve shown their strength with 11 placement points and 15 eliminations across just 2 matches.
