Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is all set to join the expanding library of the Xbox Game Pass tomorrow. This inclusion marks the first time a CoD title has been featured on the Xbox Game Pass.
The 2023 first-person shooter will be available to play on the Console Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Ultimate starting July 24th.
The news comes just weeks after Microsoft announced price hikes for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass earlier this month.
For the uninitiated, starting September 12th, the price for Game Pass Ultimate will increase to $19.99 per month, up from the current $16.99. Additionally, the cost of PC Game Pass will rise to $11.99 per month.
Microsoft also plans to introduce a new Xbox Game Pass “Standard” option for new members, which will not include access to day-one games but will feature online multiplayer.
Modern Warfare III isn’t the highest-rated Call of Duty title out there, receiving heavy criticism from fans of the franchise for its extremely short campaign as well as its multiplayer mode. Despite these critiques, its addition to the Xbox Game Pass offers some justification for the upcoming price increases.
