Cody ‘Clix’ Conrod has been banned on Twitch for the third time with speculations of a permanent ban looming over his head.
NRG pro player Clix was handed his third ban from Twitch which raised concern for his fans, as 3rd one counts as a final ban before parting ways with Twitch. The news is especially disturbing as Clix maintains a busy Twitch channel that rocks over 3.5 million followers and given his background as a pro player, his streams are embraced with around 10,000 concurrent watchers on a daily basis.
His ban was handed for violating the Twitch community guidelines that forbid explicit content on their platform. Though it was an accident on Clix’s part, it wasn’t enough to convince Twitch out of handing him a ban.
“Bro, what the f***, I’m banned on Twitch,” he said. “Perma ban… on everything I love,” added Clix. He further revealed that the ban is indefinite and the ban will only be lifted upon successful appeal.
According to Andy Miller the CEO of NRG, they are keeping a tab on the issue and aiming for a possible fix. Clix will be left in a dilemma until a conclusive result is achieved from his org’s appeals, till then, the possibility of a permanent ban will keep him awake at night.
