Cloud9 complete ATK acquisition – Report

According to a report by Jared ‘DeKay’ Lewis, Cloud9 has completed the acquisition of the ATK roster ahead of the 2020 season’s commencement.

This move has been rumoured for quite a while after three of their star players in Timothy “autimatic” Ta, Kenneth “Koosta” Suen and Damian “daps” Steele left the American organization for Gen.G. The three remaining players in the lineup have already decided their fate, mixwell is in search of a new team, while TenZ is set to stay with the organization as a content creator and golden who was loan to Fnatic is seemed to be sticking around with them considering his recent performances.

ATK roster is a mix of two South Africans along with 3 American players. They delivered the best performance in the history of the organization a few days back. Performing above their paygrade, they were able to achieve a 7-8 finish in ESL Pro League Season 10 Finals. In the tournament, they were able to best North with a 2:0 and G2 Esports with a 2:1 best of 3 scorelines before falling short against Mousesports.

The expected Cloud9 roster will be:

  • Aran ‘sonic’ Groesbeek
  • Johnny ‘JT’ Theodosiou
  • Ricky ‘floppy’ Kemery
  • Ian ‘motm’ Hardy
  • Josh ‘oSee’ Ohm
