Cloud9 reportedly part ways with kioShiMa

According to a report from Jarek “DeKay” Lewis, Cloud9 could possibly end it’s stint with French star, Fabien “kioShiMa” Fiey. Earlier as the IEM Major: Katowice 2019 concluded, Robin “flusha” Rönnquist departed as the veteran decided to take a break from competitive Counter-Strike. Alongside him, Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro’s trial run on North-American organization’s roster also ended as Maikil “Golden” Selim returned back to active lineup after being away for a significant time period due to medical reasons.

Cloud9 was earlier reported negotiating with the 24 year-old Finnish star, Miikka “suNny” Kemppi. However, the talks did not lead to results as the Finn later initiated talks with his previous organization, ENCE eSports.

Cloud9 has also not confirmed about the team’s coach. The organization acquired Kory “SEMPHIS” Friesen prior to signing former coL coach, Ron “Rambo” Kim. Soham “valens” Chowdhury has been playing this role since quite sometime but the organization planned to move the Indian-American to analytics division.

In the start of 2018, Cloud9 won ELEAGUE Major: Boston, but ever since, the organization has been in shambles as Jake “Stewie2K” Yip and Tarik “tarik”Celik departed one after another. While the veteran AWPer, Tyler “skadoodle” Latham took the hard decision and chose to retire from competitive Counter-Strike.

ESL Pro League Season 9 NA begins in April 2019, however, rosters will be locked today itself and Cloud9 is expected to finalize it’s roster for the same. As of now Cloud9’s roster comprises of the trio of:

  • [flag=se] Maikil “Golden” Selim (IGL)
  • [flag=us] Will “RUSH” Wierzba
  • [flag=us] Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • [flag=us] Ronald “Rambo” Kim (Coach/Trial)

Cloud9 is expected to announce a couple of players anytime soon to complete the roster.
