Cloud9 Secures Valorant Franchising Spot

According to various sources who spoke with Dot Esports, the North American organization Cloud9 has been informed that it has acquired a contract with Riot Games for the Americas VALORANT league for the following year.

C9 is one of the most well-known teams in esports and is also one of the favorites to be accepted because of its extensive relationship with Riot in other games like League of Legends. This makes C9 one of the favorites to be accepted.

Riot will be alerting teams throughout the week that they will be participating in the Americas league alongside the company in question and nine other competitors.

Since the beginning of the year 2020, C9 has been actively competing in VALORANT thanks to the acquisition of superstar TenZ. Since that time, the group has made significant progress toward its goal of receiving the greatest awards possible in the North American region.

C9 recently competed in the North American last chance qualifier, where the team had the opportunity to qualify for Champions. C9 ended the competition in the fourth place

Previously, we had seen Riot Games reveal the roadmap for next year’s Valorant Champions Tour. In case you haven’t had the time to check it out yet, VCT 2023 will feature three regional leagues that only a select few ‘partnered teams’ will be able to compete in, with the first International Split starting in March 2023.

Teams that failed to secure partnerships with Riot Games can still participate in the upcoming Valorant Challengers Circuit 2023 to stand a chance to participate in the VCT 2024 season.
