Cloud9 signs Mezii as the second addition to their CS:GO roster

HenryG has been fully transparent with fans about the details of the signing.

Cloud9 has announced their second signing to the CSGO roster, and it’s none other than British Counter-Strike pro William “Mezii” Merriman.

The 21-year-old will join the North American organisation as a rifler, support and closer, as revealed by Henry “HenryG” Greer – the general manager of Cloud9 – through a tweet describing the details of the signing. The newest addition to the C9 roster was signed under a 3 year deal starting on September 19th with a transfer fee of $83,000 and a total salary of $426,000.

The former GamerLegion player seemed to be equally as excited to join his new team. “Today is a dream come true,” Mezii said. “I’m up on cloud nine but this is only the beginning of my journey.”

Mezii will play alongside IGL Alex “ALEX” McMeekin and coach Aleksandar “kassad” Trifunović in the revamped Cloud9 roster.

HenryG seems to be confident in this new signing, as he has showered the player with compliments through a statement. “If you look at this as a gamble then understand I’m playing for all the marbles and this decision was not undertaken lightly,” the former caster said. “Mezii is a player of great dedication and possesses an encyclopedic knowledge on utility usage that makes the old colour commentator’s heart swell with patriotic pride.”
