COBX Gaming has announced their first set of planned investment in the Indian Esports. The COBX Indian Esports Championship. The tournament features two game titles – CS:GO & DotA 2 and gets launched online from 28th of April.
The tournament will be conducted online in two different phases, An Open qualifiers, and playoffs. The open qualifiers kick off from 28th of April whereas the playoffs where top eight teams from the qualifiers will compete against each other will begin from 1st of May. The details of LAN finale of the event is yet to be revealed.
COBX Indian Esports Championship
The registrations will be free from any fee. The first phase, open qualifiers will be from 28th to 30th of April and will follow a single-elimination bracket system with the best of one for the first few rounds. Until derived the top 8 from the qualifiers. The second set, the playoffs will follow a double-elimination rule along with the best of three matchups, which will run from 1st until 15th of May.
The total prize-pool of the COBX Gaming’s championship is set at ₹ 10,00,000 divided equally for both the games. The prize money will be divided between the top eight teams in a standard discipline.

- 50,000 – 3rd
- 30,000 – 4th
- 15,000 – 5th & 6th
- 10,000 – 7th & 8th
A total of 512 teams can register in the first season of the COBX Gaming championship with 256 in each game. The registration for CS:GO and DotA 2 are now open until 25th of April. All matches will be broadcast live on COBX Gaming’s YouTube Channel.
COBX has been quick to react soon after they announced their entry into the esports fraternity of India. With massive funding flowing in for the development of the sport in the country, COBX’s initiative will attract thousands of casual gamers to look out for an opportunity in the competitive games.
