COD Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 1 Update Size Revealed

Prepare for a substantial download as Season 1 introduces significant content updates.

The gaming world is about to get a big update as Activision is soon to launch Season 1 for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and its integrated Warzone.

Bound to come with tons of new content, this update is also the biggest yet, with the download size reportedly coming in at approximately 90 GB on the PlayStation console. Similar large file sizes are expected for PCs and Xbox units, which means bigger modifications or changes are at stake in being witnessed.

Key Features and Improvements

  • Multiplayer and Warzone Extended
The patch introduces several new maps for multiplayer and Battle Royale. Of course, these integrations will bring movement and Black Ops 6-specific armaments to the forefront of Warzone, all while ensuring cohesion in development for veterans and newbies alike.
  • Reworked Zombies Mode
Zombie enthusiasts will have new maps to play on, updated load-outs, and better gameplay mechanics. This renewal is purposed to increase player participation and widen the scope of tactical maneuvers in the highly popular mode.
  • Return of Prop Hunt
Prop Hunt mode returns this time with a new mode called Ransack. Together, both of these are going to expand the variety of gameplay styles one is accustomed to, which fit almost all tastes on the menu board.
  • Seasonal Rewards and Balance Updates
These will include rewards that are exclusive to the battle pass, such as the 12 Gauge Dragon’s Breath, which unlocks at Rank 7. Beyond these rewards, the update includes key balance adjustments, buffs, and nerfs that should go a long way in fine-tuning competitive play.

Update Size Breakdown

COD Black Ops 6

The update size of Season 1 is grand in scale but substantiated by its major content additions:

  • Core Black Ops 6 Updates: 35GB
  • Warzone Integration: >10GB

Additional Changes and Fixes: The remaining storage occupied by a myriad of small adjustments helps to maintain stability and further improves the user’s experience.

In order to alleviate storage pressures, players on storage-constrained platforms will be able to select which content they download, and this will allow them to exclude Warzone content.

Release Schedule

Season 1 of Black Ops 6 launches on November 14, 2024. Days to go, and here it is time for some storage cleaning and preparation for what’s new to come. The update symbolizes Activision’s commitment to the delivery of nostalgia-laden elements, mix-matched with fresh updates to keep the franchise young and alive.

Other reasons are that this new season update for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone is not only enriching gameplay but also a promise to in-game progression and the evolution of gaming as a whole from Activision. Touting sprawling features nods to classic entries, and technical overhauls, Season 1 is shaping up to set a new bar for first-person shooters.
