Call of Duty MW3 to Feature Remastered Maps from MW2

The Call of Duty franchise is one of several legendary sagas that have been bred in the gaming world. Modern Warfare 2, which was released in 2009 and is praised for its intense multiplayer action and iconic map designs, is an installment that made an enduring impression. Moving forward to the present, rumors in the gaming world say that 2023 Modern Warfare 3 may be about to include reworked versions of all the beloved MW2 2009 maps.

According to popular COD insider CharlieIntel, the upcoming COD MW3 for 2023 will incorporate all the maps from the 2009 version of Modern Warfare 2, a game that is often regarded as the best COD game to this day. CharlieIntel being a reliable insider has often produced the most reliable information but without official affirmation, fans better hold their horses.

The maps in question are:

  • Afghan
  • Derail
  • Estate
  • Favela
  • Highrise
  • Invasion
  • Karachi
  • Quarry
  • Rundown
  • Rust
  • Scrapyard
  • Skidrow
  • Sub Base
  • Terminal
  • Underpass
  • Wasteland

Other sources have suggested that the maps won’t be available right out of the gate. It is speculated that they will be part of a package that will come at a premium price tag, despite MW3’s staggering price. It is to be debatable whether paying a heavy premium for nostalgia is a sensible investment especially when the competitive space is unlikely to use said maps.
