After a hiatus of over a decade, EA Sports is set to revive the beloved college football series with the release of College Football 25 on July 19, 2025. The game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with early access for Deluxe Edition purchasers starting on July 16

EA Sports has taken a significant step by including all 134 Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) schools and confirming that over 11,000 players have agreed to have their likenesses featured in the game, a move made possible by the NCAA’s 2021 decision allowing players to profit from their brand.
Game Modes
Fans of the series will be pleased to know that popular game modes such as Dynasty and Road to Glory are making a comeback
However, the journey to this point wasn’t without its challenges. The series faced legal issues that led to its initial cancellation, and more recently, a lawsuit from The BrandR Group, which was settled by EA, concerning fair compensation for student-athletes
Editions and Pre-Orders
Gamers eager to hit the virtual gridiron can pre-order the Standard or Deluxe Editions of College Football 25. Additionally, EA Sports offers the EA Sports MVP Bundle, which includes Deluxe Editions of College Football 25 and Madden NFL 25, providing early access to both games.
