Corsair, a pioneer of high performance gaming peripherals and streaming products has equipped gamers with top quality mechanical keyboards, wireless headsets, premioum PC components as well as fully integrated gaming systems since 1994. In an official press release, Corsair announced that it has agreed to acquire high-performance controller pioneer SCUF Gaming “SCUF®” along with its its extensive patent portfolio. The amount is undisclosed and the deal is to be finalized by the end of December 2019
SCUF is an industry leader when it comes to Xbox, PlayStation and PC performance controllers and has set transcendent standards by redesigning controller layouts. SCUF controllers are built to specification and specialization in order to reduce hand movements, increase comfort parameters and provide overall statistical performance advantages. SCUF controllers feature a vast range of configurable components, including a patented paddle control system, removable back paddles, a quick-access remapping switch, customizable thumbsticks, hair trigger, trigger stops and extenders, choice of D-pads, and an interchangeable magnetic faceplate.

SCUF has a loyal affiliate network and is a licensed partner of Activision for Call of Duty, as well as the official controller partner of many gaming leagues including the NBA 2K League and eMLS. Back in June 2018, Corsair also acquired Elgato, a German streaming accessory producer and with this new acquisition, Corsair is set to dominate the controller business as well.
SCUF Gaming will continue to operate as a seperate brand within the Corsair and all existing SCUF Gaming warranties, purchases, and support are unaffected and will continue to be provided by SCUF Gaming.
