If you’re an owner of a Nintendo DS, this news is certain to put a smile on your face. A CSGO fan has successfully managed to create a NDS version of the insanely popular shooter Counter-Strike, incorporating into it the classic bomb-defusal themes alongside the iconic map de_dust 2.
This fan-made version of the classic competitive title features similar mechanics to CS like killing enemies, respawning after a round, or to plant and defuse the C4.
The creator of this game, ‘Fewnity’ has also released some gameplay footage showcasing roaming around the map Dust 2. The visuals of the map seem to be the same as the one found in Counter-Strike 1.6.
The creator has also revealed that players may be able to play the offline mode of the game with bots soon enough. Online bots may also be on the horizon.
You can take a look at the gameplay here.
While the overall textures are quite similar to that of CS, the gameplay mechanics and the visuals are drastically different that the original Counter-Strike due to graphics limitations of the Nintendo DS.
This NDS version of CS is still under development and it’s expected that players will be able to play it on their handheld consoles in the near future.
