Up-and-coming streaming platform co-founded by former Twitch streamers has announced a non-exclusive streaming deal with CS2 tournament organizers BLAST for the rest of the 2024 season.
Earlier this year, KICK streamed the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 and this deal will see them broadcast one of the most popular CS2 tournament circuits besides the major. While BLAST was known to stream its tournaments on Twitch, YouTube, and its website, KICK has joined the party and will pull a few viewers from both major streaming platforms.
Akhil Sarin, Chief Marketing Officer of KICK, said “KICK is thrilled to partner with BLAST to bring world-class esports entertainment onto the platform.”
BLAST brought major changes to their CS2 tournament ecosystem earlier this year which is supposed to be implemented in the upcoming season and this might serve as a litmus test of KICK as to whether they are capable of broadcasting esports events given they have mostly focused around content creators for their platform.
