Valve altered several weapon animations in the December 18 update for Counter-Strike 2 and the iconic Deagle spinning inspect animation was among them causing resentment among players calling for it to be brought back.
Desert Eagle is arguably the most impressive weapon in the game when it is on target and pairing it with the rare spinning animation makes it all the more special. For reasons unknown, Valve has replaced it with other animations and the players do not particularly like this change.
While it can be argued that the animations were carried over from CS:GO and might have become boring with the time which caused Valve to drop a refreshing update replacing it with something not as pleasing did not produce the best reaction from the community.
The majority would like to have the old inspect animation back, particularly for the Desert Eagle. While most of the other weapons have received similar treatment, their animation not being as unique did not bother the players as much.
Given how the community has reacted, it would be in the best interest of Valve to replace the current animation with the old one as soon as they can but that would beat their habit of letting the players sit with the decisions they enforce.
