ENCE esports has signed two legends, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and Jakub “kuben” Gurczynski, to lead their Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) team. Gla1ve, the former in-game leader (IGL) for Astralis, is known for steering the team to unparalleled success, including four Majors and numerous major event wins. Kuben, a veteran coach, brings his experience from Virtus.pro and Apeks, where he led a remarkable journey to the BLAST.tv Paris Major semi-finals.

Gla1ve’s Journey: From Astralis to ENCE

Gla1ve’s transition to ENCE marks a new chapter following his departure from Astralis. He took a brief hiatus after being benched in June and is now ready to bring his vast experience and leadership to ENCE. His contribution to Astralis’s golden era is undeniable, but recent times saw a decline in the team’s performance, prompting his move.

Kuben’s coaching career is marked by his five-year tenure with the legendary Polish team Virtus.pro. His recent stint with Apeks culminated in a semi-final finish at the BLAST.tv Paris Major, showcasing his ability to lead teams to significant achievements.

ENCE’s General Manager, Niklas “Willkey” Ojalainen, highlights the strategic alignment between gla1ve and kuben. Their shared vision for the game and strong working relationship are pivotal to ENCE’s future success. Kuben’s scouting skills and team-building expertise, combined with gla1ve’s experience and motivation, are seen as critical to ENCE’s aspirations.

The duo will make their debut at the Elisa Masters in Espoo, Finland. This event marks a significant moment for ENCE, as it will be gla1ve’s first official CS2 match with the team. The anticipation and excitement are high, with gla1ve expressing his eagerness to dive into this new project.
