Eternal Fire Beats G2 in Blast Bounty Semi Finals

Eternal Fire continues their supreme form as they have taken down G2 to open up their 2025. Following the arrival of jottAAA, Eternal Fire has found a resurge in form as they have taken down the biggest scalp along with G2 in the semi-finals to reach Blast Bounty finals.

VETO

  • Eternal Fire removed Ancient
  • G2 removed Train
  • Eternal Fire picked Anubis
  • G2 picked Dust2
  • Eternal Fire removed Mirage
  • G2 removed Inferno
  • Nuke was left over

Map 1: Anubis; Picked: Eternal Fire; Winner: G2

Having started the map with a bang, G2 stood on a 7-0 lead before Eternal Fire got their first round on the board. Having won the first round, Eternal Fire managed to get a hold of their defense causing G2 to fumble the lead and reach a respectable scoreline of 7-5. Eternal Fire on the T side started sharp and despite G2’s best efforts, Eternal Fire squeezed in a victory-ending out a 13-11 lead. Despite the best efforts from m0NESY, Wicadia worked with 20 kills to spearhead EF’s offense to close out the map.

Map 2: Dust 2; Picked: G2; Winner: G2

A solid first half for G2 saw them go 8-4 up with m0nesy and HeavyGod doing most of the heavy lifting as Malbs and huNter chimed in to give G2 a solid foundation before they walked into the second half. XANTARES came into his own on the defence as G2 found it difficult to get themselves going which forced them to delve deep into their start book which caused Eternal Fire to bring the game closer than it should have been. Iniduvudals from G2 managed to push it over the line with a sublime huNter 4k to take us to Nuke.

Map 3: Nuke; Picked: Decider; Winner: Eternal Fire

Yet another solid start to the map for G2 but Eternal FIre quickly responded as we were left with a first half with both teams sharing the rounds. Moving from a leveled scoreline, G2 couldn’t get going as the Eternal Fire T side was too much to handle for the G2 defense. The Turks were able to abuse the outer ramp which became the biggest vulnerability for G2 and eventually became the reason they lost the map. Each player for EF, turned up when it mattered as a start-studded performance across the board saw them take down G2.

G2’s debut event with HeavyGod showed promising signs as huNter looks to be adapting well into his new role. Eternal Fire on the other hand has become a force to be reckoned with since the arrival of jottAAA as they will play in the second-tier-1 final of the organisation’s history looking to bring in their first trophy.
