Map 1: Nuke; Pick: MIBR; Winner: FlyQuest
Despite a good start, MIBR saw FlyQuest take charge of the game as we progressed into the first half of Nuke. FlyQuest came into the match boasting a decent run of form but clearly as the second favourite. A good defense from FlyQuest saw them edge out a narrow lead by the end of the first half.
Starting the T side with a two-round advantage, FlyQuest built upon it with a pistol round conversion going 10-5 up before MIBR could get on the board. MIBR managed to delay their loss by roping in a few rounds on their defence but a well drilled offence from FQ managed to push it over the line, winning the map with a 13-9 scoreline.
Map 2: Anubis; Pick: FlyQuest; Winner: FlyQuest
FlyQuest got off the a stellar start on their own map pick. Desppite Anubis being heavily T sided, FlyQuest manged to get ahead early in the match. MIBR managed to pull in a few rounds to make the game a little more competitive.
FlyQuest turned up the heat in the second half, running all over MIBR as they failed to get any round on the board. dexter having called a supreme T side, managed to find the weakness in the MIBR defense every time. insani’s best efforts were not enough to stop FlyQuest as they steamrolled their way to vicotry, closing the map 13-6.
A great start for the Aussies in the Blast Bounty giving them a good start to the year while MIBR led by their star man insani have their back against the wall.
