m0NESY Gets His Visa in Time for Blast Premier Spring Finals

G2's hopes rest on m0NESY's return as they face a fiery Team Spirit in the opening match of BLAST Spring Finals 2024.

The BLAST Spring Finals is set to start on 12th June and will feature seven of the top 10 teams. While IEM Dallas was a top-tier event, BLAST Spring Finals will be a tougher task as there won’t be any matches where G2 walks in as heavy favorites.

The already dim chances of winning were hit with a significant blow when star AWPer m0NESY was ruled out of the CS2 tournament due to visa issues. In the latest turn of events, the Russian wunderkind has secured his visa and will likely travel to London for the tournament however with the first match being less than a day away, it cannot be confirmed whether he will start the opening game.

G2 faces Team Spirit in their first match which has to be the most exciting match-up from the opening day of the event. Spirit being a team in hot form could likely be too much for G2 to handle with a stand-in but thanks to BLAST’s format, they have some room in case they lose.

G2 vs Team Spirit promises to bring m0NESY against donk, two players are in the conversation for the best player in the world, and should m0NESY start the match, we will be in for a treat.

The G2 roster for the BLAST Spring Final 2024 will be:

  • Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač
  • Nikola “NiKo” Kovač
  • Rasmus ” HooXi” Nielsen (in-game leader)
  • Nemanja “nexa” Isaković
  • Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov
  • Wiktor “TaZ” Wojtas (coach/stand-in)
