A recent announcement by ESL has confirmed that the highly anticipated IEM China 2024 will take place in Chengdu, the capital city of the Sichuan province.
“Four years have passed since our last visit to China,” ESL said in the announcement video. “Counter-Strike has changed a lot since then. It’s time to write new history.”
IEM Chengdu 2024 is set to feature sixteen of the best Counter-Strike 2 teams from throughout the globe, who will battle it out in front of a live audience for a shot at the gigantic prize pool of $250,000 and a spot in the IEM Cologne 2024 group stage.
The event is set to kick off on April 8, 2024, and will feature seven days of intense CS action before concluding on April 12th. The final three days of the tournament will unfold at the Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre.
ESL has yet to confirm the exact ticket sale dates for the event, but fans can expect further information to be disclosed within the next few weeks.
Fans will be able to catch the event live on the official Twitch and YouTube handles of ESL.
