MOUZ Beats Falcons to Win PGL Cluj Napoca 2025

MOUZ is the winner of PGL Cluj Napoca, making it its first trophy of the 2025 season. With changes across the board MOUZ has come into its own and now has taken the shape of title challengers.

VETO

  • Falcons removed Inferno
  • MOUZ removed Anubis
  • Falcons picked Dust2
  • MOUZ picked Mirage
  • Falcons picked Nuke
  • MOUZ picked Ancient
  • Train was left over

Map 1: Dust2; Pick: Falcons ; Winner: MOUZ

The series started with both teams trading rounds before MOUZ could put together a few in their favor, which stopped the Falcons from securing rounds right from the get-go. After a close first half, MOUZ started catching momentum in the second half as the Falcons’ defense could not keep up with a T side that was tactically superior and came prepared for whatever the Falcons threw at them. Falcons managed only two rounds on the T side, as MOUZ closed the match with a dominant 13-6 scoreline.

Map 2: Mirage; Pick: MOUZ; Winner: Falcons

Following the beating on Dust 2, NiKo took charge of the game on Mirage, as he made mid almost impenetrable for MOUZ which was key for their offense. With NiKo hamstringing them in mid, Falcon players had an easy time to dominate on the defense as they walked into the second half with a 10-2 half. Moving onto the offense, MOUZ did manage to pull in a few rounds but it was all for naught as Falcons quickly closed the map winning 3 rounds in a row from the first gun round. The dominant scoreline from the first map was returned to MOUZ, as we headed to Nuke.

Map 3: Nuke; Pick: Falcons; Winner: MOUZ;

A brilliant start for MOUZ dominated Falcons for the entirety of the first half as swapping with a 9-3 scoreline left little room for Falcons to mount a comeback but moving over to the T-side, they met a rejuvenated Falcons with NiKo, TeSeS, and Degster taking charge as they started to mount a comeback. While Falcons managed to push the game to the final round of the regulation, poor performance from kyxsan and Magisk made it too difficult for the star trio to push the game over the line as MOUZ took their second map of the series.

Verdict

With the likes of Spirit and NAVI not taking part in PGL Cluj Napoca, one might argue that MOUZ might have had it easy but the way they have played makes it clear that they are here to stay and the top sides should watch out.
