Nitr0’s CS2 Return Halted by Failed Negotiations With M80

M80's Plans for Nitr0 Uncertain as Top Teams Circle

After Nick ‘Nitr0’ Canella announced his big return to professionally competing in CS2 again, negotiations have fallen through with his current team which has put a break in his plans according to a report.

Earlier this month, M80 announced that Nitr0 will not be a part of their active Valorant roster upon which the skipper announced that he will be transitioning to CS2. A player of his calibre was swift to attract suitors but his current organization had plans that did not resonate well.

M80 plans to keep Nitr0 within the organization and fill the stop which will be vacated by Mario “malbsMd” Samayoa once his rumored move to G2 goes through. However, we do not know whether he would be taking over IGL duties or acting as a secondary to freshly minted IGL, Elias “s1n” Stein.

Nitr0’s announcement garnered the attention of two of the top teams from North America namely, Team Liquid and Compelxity. The former is undergoing an IGL crisis while Complexity isn’t exactly looking to add an IGL in their ranks.

As things stand, his negotiations with M80 have reached a halt and his next move is up in the air. Nitr0 claimed to come in at this convenient time when the North American CS scene is suffering from an IGL crisis and save the scene but unless he can reach an agreement, chances of that are as slim as it can be.
