North America Reportedly Hosting First Counter-Strike Major in 7 Years

The 2025 Counter-Strike 2 Major is expected to take place in North America, marking the first Counter-Srike Major in the region in over seven years, as per recent reports from various sources.

As initially reported by HLTV, multiple sources have confirmed that Austin, Texas is the “likely choice” to host the upcoming CS2 Major.

The last time the United States hosted a Counter-Strike Major was in January 2018, when ELEAGUE organized the event in Boston. The grand finals of the event saw Cloud9 taking down FaZe Clan in a memorable win.

With BLAST teasing some “secrets” they’ll reveal at the OVO Wembley Arena during the BLAST Premier Spring Final 2024, many fans are speculating that this might include an announcement about the upcoming CS2 major.

If this report turns out to be true, it will signify BLAST’s second Major within two years, following their successful hosting of the previous CSGO Major in Paris in May 2023.

CS2 fans from throughout the globe will undoubtedly keep their eyes peeled for any further announcements from BLAST or Valve on the topic.
