Spirit has taken down FaZe in 2-0 fashion to make it to the next round of Blast World Finals as FaZe takes an early exit to prepare for the major that is set to commence later this month. Spirit dropped off in their form but a late resurgence has once again rendered them a top contender for titles.

Despite FaZe winning the pistol round, Spirit managed to get right back on track and put FaZe’s offense to the test, which helped bring the score line level by the end of the first half of Mirage. donk found his form early on in the match and put FaZe on the back foot right from the get-go. Team Spirit started the second half with a pistol round win but FaZe managed to win a few here and there Spirit managed to close the map with a 13-10 scoreline. donk stood out as the best player with 24 kills with an IR of 1.45.

A brilliant start for FaZe on Anubis that saw them get 7 rounds in the first half but Spirit has been breathing right down the neck of FaZe throughout the first half as several close rounds went the way of FaZe to be able to post such a scoreline. The replica of the first half saw Spirit push the game to overtime as FaZe was on the verge of winning the map. The overtime saw both teams trade rounds, pushing the game till the second overtime when Spirit put together two rounds in a row in the CT side and edged out a T side to win the map with a 19-17 scoreline.
G2 will face the new Astralis under the leadership of cadiaN who has stood out exceptionally in this tournament and might come into the next game as the favorites and might as well go all the way through.
