Kasper “cadiaN” Möller has been benched by Team Liquid, just a few months after he joined the squad. The Danish in-game leader has had a difficult season filled with setbacks despite having a star-studded line-up.
Liquid went through a massive roster revamp by bringing in players from across the world with NAF being the only true North American. The team despite a few good showings has failed to deliver on the biggest stages and now he finds himself out of the roster.
cadiaN has proved his worth in Heroic through their rise from a mid-table team to a serious contender for trophies. He has struggled through the covid era and established himself as a leader who could do it outside online CS but his time with Liquid was far from ideal.
Liquid was unable to maintain consistency in their play which saw them eliminated from multiple major competitions at surprisingly early stages. The squad never quite managed to transfer its abundance of individual talent into a well-drilled team that cadiaN had previously developed at Heroic.
Suffice it to say that the roster has a plethora of individual talent and while cadiaN may not have worked out for them, another IGL with different fundamentals might be the trick to turn this roster into a winning side.
Liquid roster looks like this:
- Keith “NAF” Markovic
- Mareks “YEKINDAR” Gaļinskis
- Felipe “skullz” Medeiros
- Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken
- Wilton “zews” Prado (coach)
- Casper “cadiaN” Møller (benched)
