Vitality Take Down NAVI To Secure Grand Final Spot in BLAST Premier World Final 2023

The BLAST Premier World Final 2023 is nearing its conclusion, and with four teams heading into the semi-finals of the event, only two teams remain after day 4 to battle it out in the grand finals for a lion’s share of the $1,000,000 prize pool.

Vitality vs NAVI marked the second game of the semi-finals as the former took down the latter with a score of 2-0.

Let’s check out everything that went down during the series.

Game 1: Anubis (Pick: NAVI, Win: Vitality, Final Score: 13-5)

NAVI started the CT-side of Anubis on the right foot by taking the pistol round but failed to convert the following round as a force-buy from Vitality shut them down before they gained any momentum. Both teams put up commendable performances but Vitality managed to come out on top at the end of the first half as they closed out the half with a considerable lead of 8-4.

The second half seemed pretty one-sided as NAVI could only grab a single round before Vitality secured game one without much hassle with a score of 13-5.

Dan “apEX” Madesclaire reigned at the top of the scoreboard with a K/D of 18/8.

Game 2: Inferno (Pick: Vitality, Win: Vitality, Final Score: 13-9)

NAVI looked comfortable on the T-side of Inferno as they started the game with back-to-back round wins to get a 4-0 lead over Vitality before dropping a round. Vitality regained composure towards the latter half of their CT-side as they managed to equalize the score to end the first half with a score of 6-6.

Vitality maintained their momentum heading into the second half of Inferno, winning consecutive rounds to get a lead of 11-6. NAVI could snatch a few rounds from their opposition before a 1v3 clutch from William “mezii” Merriman enabled Vitality to pick up their face and end the game 13-9 in their favor.

Shahar “flameZ” Shushan rocked an ADR of 102.6 with a K/D of 18/16.

With this win, Vitality secure their grand finals spot in BLAST Premier World Final 2023, where they’ll face off against FaZe Clan for a shot at glory. The match will take place on December 17, 2023, at 2:00 pm UTC.
