CSGO devs just nerfed SG553 in new Update

After months of banter and requests made to CSGO devs, the rifles which were debated to be overpowered have just been equated. The new update brings about a lot of changes to the maps in activepool.

Valve have just dropped one of the most significant updates to CSGO in recent times. The update will change the meta of the game, as players will no longer be exploting the use of SG553 & AUG, which were heavily criticized.

Change in weaponry

The most significant change in the recent update comes to the secondary snipers, SG553/Krieg on the terrorist side. Whereas AUG’s performance has been improved.

Desert Eagle, the fancy pistol will now be more accurate when firing mid-air. Tec9, another pistol used by the terrorists has also been buffed, meaning, the accuracy will now be better. M4A1-S is cheaper by $200, available now at $2900.

Map reforms

Anubis has been moved to Competitive mode from Scrimmage. Water reflection issues have also been fixed on the map along with performance improvements. Along with these, reported regarding clipping and unintended boosts have been patched on the map.

Inferno received HDR setting tweaks and the wall by door to A site balcony is now bingelibangable.

Office has come to receive some funny tweaks as the beverage machines have been restocked, office has been moved to non-smoking zone and kitchen break room has been cleaned up. Snow has also been accumulated by the dumpster in back courtyard.

In this update, Overpass has a pixel boost at B site water removed along with a reworked bombsite A backdrop. World lighting has also been improved and a new collision model on dumpsters have been found around the map.

Chlorine received changes to lighting and had default CT player model changed to FBI. A plywood has been added on the B site for better visibility. Water puddles on the map has been removed and an areaportal on squeaky door has been fixed. A grenade clip has also been added on yellow trap and clipping issues near crazy river has been fixed. On top of that, some bombstuck spots have been fixed and missing materials for glowy eyes have been included.

Mirage wasn’t left out either as clipping issues on the map got some fixes and vision under truck on B site got blocked off.
