“Using the float.db database and some quick (corrected) maths reveal that the community has already opened up at least 5.5 MILLION Anubis Cases. That’s $11 MILLION dollars of revenue (at least) for Valve. Absolutely mental stuff” read the Tweet.
TDM_Heyzeus utilized the mathematical probability of opening a Covert skin, which stands at 1/3906, in their computations. The Anubis Collection Package contains one such skin of exceptional rarity, the M4A4 | Eye of Horus. Next, they obtained data on the existing number of M4A4 | Eye of Horus skins within the game from the reputable CS:GO skin database, float.db.
Using this number, the player multiplied it by the likelihood of obtaining one Eye of Horus skin. As a result, they estimated that around 1.9 million cases were opened within the first 24 hours.
