Through an update on May 3rd, Valve removed Train from the active duty map pool of CSGO. The legendary map that has been existent since the days of CS 1.6 has been replaced by the young bomb-defusal map Ancient.
However, it seems like some of the pros, along with many other avid fans of the shooter, are unhappy with this sudden change in the active duty map pool.
The update also brought with it a new community case and, more importantly, new chicken models which you can read all about in here.
The move was termed as “absolutely pathetic” by David ‘DAVEY’ Stafford.
“The level of incompetence is SHOCKING,” Davey said in a Tweet. “You guys are doing everything you can to make sure Valorant overtakes your game.”
Tarik “tarik” Celik reacted to the move with a GIF that seemed to portray the devs watching the game burn.
The developers have confirmed that the upcoming RMR events will use the old active duty map pool, which means that fans will still likely be able to watch Train being played in the upcoming tournaments a few more times.
