On November 2nd, seven of the most popular CSGO maps including Mirage, Inferno, Overpass, Nuke, Train, Vertigo, and Dust 2 received workshop updates in what fans are suspecting to be a preparation for the upcoming operation.
Since there are no major changes in any of the maps, it’s still unclear what has actually changed. While there’s a possibility that these are just regular balance updates, don’t be surprised if the highly anticipated operation 10 drops in the next few hours.
Previously, we have seen CSGO devs pushing out small updates before shipping out a big operation, and these map changes might follow a similar paradigm.
Another looming possibility is that the developers might be looking to add Christmas visuals to these maps. With Christmas only a few weeks away, CSGO players are already expecting some visual changes to the game. The winter changes are a regular occurrence in CSGO, where the devs add snowballs to the maps and decorate chickens with Christmas every year in December.
