$1 Million CSGO Art Contest Announced by Valve

It seems like Valve has decided to go big with their Steam Workshop contests, as the developers have announced a whopping million-dollar contest for CSGO skin creators across the globe.

This is undoubtedly the biggest art contest the shooter has ever seen and is expected to draw in some unique and gorgeous skin designs for the various kinds of CSGO weapons.

The $1 million dollars will be divided into 10 winners who manage to create the best dream or nightmare-themed CSGO weapon skins for the contest. The winning entries will each receive $100,000 and their creations will be featured in the upcoming weapon case.

The contest will begin on July 22, 2021, and creators will have 3 months to submit their skins before the submissions are closed on October 21st.

Valve has also confirmed that creators will be able to work in teams of more than one for their submission. However, commissioning an illustrator isn’t allowed.

“The original illustrator must be on the revenue specified in the workshop entry,” Valve stated in a blog post

Players can check out the details and guidelines of the art contest on the official contest website.
