Among Us Mode in CSGO Existed Back In 2014, And No One Knew

The mod which is available in the Steam workshop for years is rarely found in community servers.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the most popular competitive shooters in the world of modern video games alongside the likes of Valorant or Rainbow Six Siege.

On the other hand, Among Us is probably the most popular casual game currently which is almost always seen leading the Twitch charts ever since it made a major breakthrough a few weeks back.

What if you could enjoy the simplicity of Among Us in CSGO?

The answer you get is ‘Trouble in Terrorist Town‘, a custom game mode for CSGO which relies on the same basics of lies and deception as Among Us, but with a huge twist – Anyone can kill. The intense gameplay similar to Among Us, when combined with the mechanics of CSGO, creates one of the best experiences you can enjoy right now.

Trouble in Terrorist Town, or TTT for short, brings you the best of both worlds from CSGO and Among Us. A minimum of eight players are generally needed to play the game, one or more of whom are given the role of ‘Traitors’ while others are ‘Innocent’. But wait, there’s another role to top it off – the Detective.

One player (or two, if there’s a lot of people playing) is given the role of a Detective who sides with the innocents to find out who the traitor is. The detective has a Zeus with him which he can only use once to check if a player is innocent or a traitor.

Innocents have to find out who the traitors are and eliminate them, while traitors have to kill all the innocents in a given time frame to win. Any player can kill each other in this game mode, however, the game utilizes a ‘karma’ system to punish griefers who kill teammates without evidence.

Besides this, there are lots of twists in the in-game shop. Players can buy items gained from credits obtained by killing enemies. The items are for one-time use and should be used wisely to outsmart opponents.

If you’re planning to jump into a TTT game right now, there are a few community servers that still run the game mode. Join any server with the filter ‘Multimod’ and you’ll often find TTT in a rotation of game modes including Minigames, Jailbreak, Deathrun, and many others.
