New Zealand CSGO Fan Creates Weapon Skins Based On Hindu Mythology

The collection contains skins for the MAG7, USP-S, AWP, and MP5.

Have you ever wished to see a representation of the vast Hindu mythology through CSGO weapon skins? Quite an odd crossover, certainly, but in case you have, you’re in luck.

An avid CSGO fan and skin designer who goes by the in-game nickname of ‘Apel’ has managed to create multiple weapon skins based on the Hindu mythology for CSGO, and they look absolutely stunning!

While none of the skins of Apel’s ‘Hindu Series’ are available in-game as of yet, there’s a high chance that they’ll eventually be accepted to the competitive shooter due to their amazing color patterns and skin designs.

The skins portray Gods and Goddesses from Hindu mythology who are represented through designs on the skin. Furthermore, each skin’s name is carved somewhere in it in the Hindi language, which is a nice additional touch by the creator.

According to Apel, this series was inspired by the hit FPS title ‘Far Cry 4’. Apel also stated that he has never been to India before.

While mentioning the level design of ‘Kyrat’ from Far Cry 4, Apel said, “It’s stunning and inspiring to see this artwork, hats off to Ubisoft… this is something truly professional, since it puts me inside of this world and makes me feel a spectrum of different emotions. This is a real art in my opinion.”

The Hindu Series contains skins for the MP5, MAG7, USP-S, and AWP.

Take a look at the wonderful designs below:

USP-S :: Ganesha

Ganesha – is one of the most well-known and venerated representations of God. He is the first son of Shiva and Parvati.

MAG7 :: Narasimha

Narasimha – (Sanskrit: “Man-Lion”) one of the 10 avatars (incarnations) of the Hindu god Vishnu. According to Hindu mythology, Narasimha’s half-lion, half-man appearance allowed him to circumvent the boon received by the demon king Hiranyakashipu that he could not be killed by any human or animal. Since Narasimha was neither fully animal nor fully human, he was able to slay the demon Hiranyakashipu and save the world.

AWP :: Shiva

Shiva – is a supreme being who creates, protects and transforms the universe. God of meditation and the originator of yoga. Shiva is also a protector against demons.

MP5 :: Agni

Agni (English: /ˈæɡni/ AG-nee,[4] Sanskrit: अग्नि, Agní) is a Sanskrit word meaning fire and a fire god of Hinduism.
