CSGO: nitr0 to Liquid Close to a ‘Done Deal’

Rumours of Nick ‘nitr0’ Canella’s return to CS:GO have been heating up ever since he was seen grinding Faceit with former teammates Eric ‘AdreN’ Hoag and Jonathan ‘EiGE’ Jablonowski. He was later invited back to FPL, a hub for Pro players and the best talent on Faceit.

It was earlier reported by upcomer that his future with 100Thieves’ Valorant team isn’t secure, and 1pv.fr confirmed that, saying Nick was in advanced talks with Liquid for a move back to the best FPS in the scene. nitr0 previously won the Intel Grand Slam, the second team after Astralis at the time and they won it in record time, needing just 63 days to win it all and is heralded as the greatest IGL in North American Counter Strike.

The move would see him reunite with long time teammate ‘EliGE’ who has made it no secret that changes are coming for Liquid. 1pv.fr also reports that Vinicuis ‘VINI’ Figueiredo of FURIA will be joining the roster as Jake ‘Stewie2k’ Yip and Keith ‘NAF’ Markovic might be leaving for EG, while Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo and Michael ‘Grim’ Wince will also leave the team. ‘VINI’ saw a lot of success with FURIA in 2020 and is regarded as one of the best support players from the region. neL also reported that ‘shox’ was in talks with Liquid as well.

It seems the most successful IGL of NA CS will return to his true home, having won 9 International LANs with Team Liquid in his previous stint of 5 years with the org. If these reports turn out to be true, Liquid will have the following roster:

  • Nick ‘nitr0’ Canella
  • Jonathan ‘EliGE’ Jablonowski
  • Richard ‘shox’ Papillon
  • Vinicus ‘VINI’ Figueiredo
