Extra Salt to pick up former Cloud9 CSGO roster

Extra Salt have entered the North American CSGO scene by picking up the former Cloud9 csgo squad made up of a mix of North American and South African players.

Freshly established North American esports organisation Extra Salt are ready to enter the competitive csgo scene with a bang. As per a RUSHB Media report, the organisation is set to pick up the former Cloud9 roster and announce their entry into competitive esports.

The former Cloud9 roster presents a mix of players from North America and South Africa, with the squad first impressing as part of ATK before being signed by the iconic North American organisation.

The roster did pick up significant results before being being made available for transfer by Cloud9.

However, a breach of CoVid guidelines saw their contracts being terminated with immediate effect, with the entire squad being rendered homeless and without an organisation to represent in csgo.

Ricky ‘floppy’ Kemery was retained by Cloud9 as part of their new roster as the other four members teamed up with Gage ‘Infinite’ Green to compete in events.

The report’s credibility has been enhanced by Extra Salt retweeting it through their official Twitter handle. As per the report, Infinite will not be part of the squad picked up by Extra Salt, who are considering the proposition of adding two fresh members to the squad to make it a six-man roster.

@RyanatRBM further clarified that Extra Salt never considered picking up the recently released Chaos Esports squad since the negotiations between them and the former Cloud9 players were ongoing from before Chaos became available.

Now that the players from Chaos Esports are seeking a new home, individually and otherwise, it would be intriguing to see if Extra Salt end up signing one or more of them to their newly acquired csgo roster.
