FaZe Clan’s CSGO sticker prices surpass the company’s stock price

One of the biggest gaming organizations in the world, FaZe Clan IPO’d at a billion dollars recently, however, following a cash flow meltdown, the stock prices have plummeted from an all-time high of $20 dollars to $0.48.

In a surprising turn of events at the start of 2023, the value of the esports organization’s shares plummeted to around 50 cents, well below the one-dollar minimum required by the stock exchange. FaZe’s financial report for the fourth quarter of 2022 revealed a loss of $53 million, putting the company’s financial stability in peril.

Someone on Twitter even joked that a Faze Clan glitter sticker is currently worth more than a Faze Clan share, adding insult to financial injury for FaZe. Stickers of most Paris Major 2023 players and teams cost more than a single share of Faze Clan.

Despite their present financial woes, FaZe Clan continues to be one of the most famous and popular esports teams in the world, with a huge fan base and a strong showing in many international competitions.

It’s no secret that FaZe Clan is having money problems in the year 2023. It was not the first organization in the esports and gaming industry to go public, but it was one of the most visible. Despite a rise in sales, FaZe lost $53.2 million in its first year after going public.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for FaZe Clan, but the company’s decision to offer up a majority of its shares for sale is a clear sign of the financial struggles it faces. Despite the uncertain times, FaZe Clan remains a popular esports organization, and its fans are likely hoping for a swift turnaround.

Upon investigating the downfall of the stock, a simple reason to explain it would be FaZe Clan’s expenses surpassing their profits, and as a result, the stock has fallen below a dollar which doesn’t bode well with NASDAQ policies which state that any company with the stock below a dollar for 30 consecutive days risks a deficiency notice.

Despite the upheaval, each of FaZe Clan’s professional teams has been playing admirably, with the CSGO squad leading the way. The Paris Major 2023 will be the last CSGO major before the changeover to CS2, and FaZe Clan will be there to compete. Valve, as they always do, made stickers to commemorate the Major event participation of players and teams.

Fans have already pointed out the irony that FaZe’s glitter skins are selling for slightly more than the organization’s shares. Their Rio 2022 sticker, which is glittery but still more expensive than paper stickers, costs only $0.48. Which is currently the same price as FaZe shares.

Even though their stickers are far cheaper than glitter ones (the cheapest of which costs only $0.07), most skin collectors disregard them as disposable.

But FaZe isn’t alone in this regard. Also offering shares at $0.30 per share is Astralis, a publicly traded esports organization with a CSGO team. The majority of their stickers are selling for far more than that, too.
