The B-Site managed league will now act as a RMR event for the European teams.
Flashpoint Season 3 is all set to return on May 10 and will be the first RMR (Regional Major Ranking) event of 2021. A total of 16 teams would enter the competition and would go through a double-elimination bracket to grab themselves points which would determine their position on the RMR ladder and eventually their status of the qualification towards the 2021 Stockholm Major.
As per the above image and schedules set by Flashpoint, 4 open qualifiers have been announced with two teams from every qualifier progressing on to the closed qualifier event. These qualified teams would then join the rest 8 teams who would be already invited to the Closed qualifier summing up to a total of 16 teams. The former event will run from 27 April – 30 April with just 5 teams making out to the main event.
Eleven teams have been directly invited to the main event on the basis of the 2020 RMR events and here is the list :
- Astralis
- Heroic
- Vitality
- BIG
- G2 Esports
- FunPlus Phoenix
- Ninjas In Pyjamas
- North
- FaZe Clan
- Fnatic
- OG Esports
Earlier, Flashpoint was intended to be a partnered league event, but the latter program is down to just 4 teams as the rest have reportedly put their CSGO divisions on hold, and the most recent ones to do so are Cloud9 and Team Envy.
