Gla1ve Back in Astralis Active Line-up for PGL Major

Veteran In-game leader and four-time Major winner, Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander will be back in the starting lineup for Astralis for the PGL Stockholm Major later this month, the team announced via Twitter. Gla1ve has been on the sidelines since September 8th, opting out of Blast Fall Groups as well as the IEM Fall RMR.

After the birth of his son, Milas, 4 days ago it seems that he’s raring to go already and will be back for the most prestigious event in CSGO in 2 years.

In his absence ‘Bubzkji’ and ‘xyp9x’ have held their own comfort and have been solid for the team, finishing in the top 4 at IEM Fall and qualifying for BLAST Fall Finals as well.

The only difference from the squad that won the StarLadder Berlin Major will be the absence of Nicolai ‘dev1ce’ Reedtz and the addition of Philip ‘Lucky’ Ewald. This will be the first Major for ‘Lucky’ and he’s surrounded by legends of the game to help him through it.

On the exclusion of Bubzkji, the Director of Sports at Astralis said “It is never easy to take a player out of the starting line-up and with Lucas, it can seem a bit unfair as, no matter the circumstances, he has been a true professional and always delivered his best on and off the server. Danny and I have had a good talk with Lucas about the decision. He is disappointed, but he also knows he is a big part of the team, and he will give his best to help out.”

More about his statement can be read here.

With this move, the lineup for Astralis at PGL Stockholm will be:

  • Lukas ‘gla1ve’ Rossander
  • Peter ‘dupreeh’ Rasmussen
  • Emil ‘Magisk’ Reif
  • Andreas ‘xyp9x’ Højsleth
  • Philip ‘Lucky’ Ewald
  • Danny ‘zonic’ Sorensen (Coach)
  • Lucas ‘Bubzkji’ Andersen (Reserve)
